What is False Swearing in Arizona A.R.S. 13-2703?

False swearing is the making of a false sworn statement, believing it to be false.  The intent in such a crime is that the perpetrator knows that the statement is false and that this statement is under oath.  The swearing that the statement is true while knowing it is not is the crime.  It is the deliberate misleading of someone by making the statement.
